Vineyards
Tenuta San Michele has belonged to the Scammacca del Murgo family since 1860. The heart of Murgo production, the vineyards are located 500 m above sea level in an enchanting panoramic setting, dominated by Etna and the Ionian sea.
Tenuta San Michele has an extension of 25 hectares, mostly dedicated to the production of Etna DOC wines. For maximum respect for the territory, we adopt cultural techniques with low environmental impact and the company’s conversion to an organic regime is underway.
The Cellar
In Tenuta San Michele there is the historic cellar of 1860 and the modern cellar for vinification and refinement of Murgo wines.
Thanks to the particular climatic conditions of the cellar, the strong temperature ranges and the constant work of three generations, we produce elegant, complex, sapid wines with an identity that stands out in the Italian and international wine scene.
Guided tours can be organized upon reservation.
The Pool
In the garden, suspended between Etna and the sea, the crystalline swimming pool, the hydromassage tub and the solarium area with the wine bar await you.
The atmosphere is refined and comfortable, but also informative and relaxing. Our goal is an unforgettable stay.
